Treats all around

Peter had his first infusion of the biologic medicine this morning.: a 30 minute drip at the doctor's office. Two more infusions over the initial 6 week phase in period. After that, infusions every 8 weeks for life. Since the children were wee, I had an ice-cream-for-shots policy. Even grown, I carry on the tradition. At the grocery I balanced out the sweet treats with these veggie treats.

Thai Green Curry with green beans and red bell pepper, and rice (offscreen), roasted carrots, gold potatoes with parsley, croissants (Deli), boiled eggs, mixed greens salad with pickled veg, cucumbers and tomatoes, and corn.

Second hand loot seen in these pictures:
Table Cloth $5
Complete 8 piece dinner set plus serving dishes $42. I already owned two 4 piece place settings of a similar design which through use had some dings and breaks over the decades. I'd rather add to a similar collection than start anew.
Handmade placemats $8 for 4
Serving dishes $1-$5
Misc. pottery $1-$8
That incredible $125 cabbage soup tureen $2 (two dollars!) at a thrift store.
I buy what I like and sometimes I even find a damn good deal, but unless I like it and will use it, no point in buying something just for the sake of owning something branded, etc.
All acquired over many years
