The remaining Tulips
The remaining tulips rearranged to create a lovely Spring tablescape.
Earlier in the week, the tulips had not opened fully. Their leave were full and the stems unbent. As the days passed, as I changed the water I removed drooping and browning leaves, then shortened stems as they began to age. Changing the arrangement, even the vases, I've kept these longer.Another cold snap meant bringing some of the herbs in from the porch. The tulips replaced the aging branches snipped the week before. One night as I brought in the porch plants, the overlap of buds and greenery prompted a photo. Drapes drawn to keep out the cold, it made for a different view from the sunny day light streaming in earlier. The earlier cold snap prompted a sleepover with flowering buds adorning the table that week.
