Why are the Republicans so mad?
With Biden bowing out of the race and throwing his endorsement behind Harris the Republicans are raging.
The Republicans have spent the last four years demonizing Biden and suddenly their whipping boy, their scapegoat, is out.
Biden's withdrawal steals their thunder. Playing the martyr, saved by a miracle card Trump rode the RNC on a wave, at least until he opened his mouth in a boring AF ninety minute closing speech.
With Biden gone, their candidate is the only old guy is the race. They have attacked Biden repeatedly for his age and mental well being. With Biden absent the light shines solely on their infirm, aged, dementia addled, weak minded, unfocused candidate t-Rump. Just look at that RNC speech: meandering, play-the-old-hits, forget-the teleprompter, Grandpa Simpson story telling, path to dementia. Yup, time to take away Grandpa's keys and send him to a home.
With Harris in the race, Race once again becomes an issue front and center for the racist MAGAt supporters. These are people who feel they no longer have to hide their prejudices because Trump has been dog whistling for them to come out from the kennels since he led the Birtherism conspiracy against Obama.
With Harris at the lead, the issue of abortion and women's rights become a major issue. In the first Presidential debate Biden shied away from this hot button issue. Kamala Harris has been on the campaign trail leading the charge for restoring abortion rights all along. She will not go silent now. This is an issue that middle America women, even many Republican women, see as a necessity. Toss in the Project 2025 threat against contraception and more women come on board. Harris's personal success will appeal to many of these women. Harris will be attacked for being childless, successful, having delayed marriage, and for her intelligence. These attacks will piss off a lot of women voters. We saw Hillary Clinton demonized from 1992 to 2016. Outright lies became Trumpian "truths". Expect the Republicans to use the same tactics. Hell, they've used "Joe and the Ho" for 4 years now. It's only going to get worse.
The t-Rump team knows that Harris will push all of Trump's buttons and he won't be able to keep his cool in the debate(s). t-Rump shocked everyone in the first 2024 debate because he did not act as he had in the previous debates for 2016 and 2020. In past years he shadowed Clinton, stalking her on stage, looming and menacing. He talked over Biden in the last election debates. Biden told him to Shut Up at one point. Kamala Harris, being a woman who is smarter, more composed, and willing to mock and ridicule him with a smile and laugh will cause his levels to rise to 11.
As a former prosecutor, Harris will debate Dolt-45 as if he was a hostile witness. She will call out his lies and lay them bare before the nation. Her summation will be complete and persuasive. She will rile him as no one has done so before. And the funniest thing will be when she pulls her nice girl tactics. She laid it out against Biden in the 2020 primary debates when she told the story of her forced busing as a child. I have no doubt that she has other stories that will show her humanity. And when countered by Trump's irate name calling, petty grievances, blustering, and other shenanigans, she will best him while standing in high heels.
The Republicans are right to be scared of Kamala Harris. She is their worst nightmare: an intelligent, successful woman. Oh, and she's black too and nothing scares a racist MAGAt as much as a black person.
