Upon entering our home

At the front door, our entry table adorns one wall of our living room.

It does seem to be rather welcoming except the sign at the front door which reads:
No Preachers
No Politicians
No Salesmen
No Strangers
Uninvited is unwelcome

When you sleep odd hours, you don't want someone showing up unannounced. AND you certainly don't want any preachers, politicians, salesmen, or strangers showing up either.
