cheap repair

 

We are repainting the porches this year so I was clearing everything off and found this. An old display bowl hanging on the back porch wall for several years that had begun to flake and rust. Cleaned it, spray painted it black, then rubbed acrylic gold finish into the grooves. Placing it on display inside this time atop a tall black bookcase.

This plate was in worse shape and took more time to scrap off the old rust and paint. There were fewer ridges remaining to contrast between the colors. 

This shelf was painted black.
