The rest is silence

Long walks. Extra sleep. Less caffeine. Less food- at least I'm eating. A stack of Ian Rankin novels.

Art as therapy. Some distracting artistic disasters dried long enough to be covered over by second attempts like this piece. No moments of inspiration, just a much needed release.

All these thoughts surfacing; trying to make sense of things. I want to say of that part of my life, "The rest is silence," but not yet. Writing to purge- a forced analysis. Trite tripe: Every scar I have makes me who I am. No longer cloaked in grief or drowning in tears. No comfort in world weary adages. The anger and revenge set aside: there be dragons. No regrets, only a new path I must map out on my own.

Time. Give it some time.
