Three in One Day
The Basic 3-2-1 recipe
Made three 6-inch boule yesterday. The first went to my Dad. The second was eaten for lunch, dinner, and finished off for breakfast this morning. The third is waiting for us to devour. I'd forgotten how easy these are to make. I use a hot water method and 2 tsp of yeast for a quick result. Less than 3 hours start to finish. 3-2-1 recipe. 3 c. flour. 2 tsp yeast. 1 tsp salt. 1.5 c hottest tap water. Mix together. 1 hour rest covered, turn out, shape. 30 minutes rest. 40 minute bake time. 450F (30 min in a covered dutch oven + 8-10 min. uncovered) As soon as the dough was shaped, the next mixture was started in the same bowl. Easy peasy.
