Water Hyacinth Basket

 Another thrifted find today. A water hyacinth basket on a metal frame measuring 13 x 19 inches for $2.99. I love my hyacinth baskets I use in my cube storage systems. There are sturdy, tightly woven so they don't "leak", and wrapped around metal frames.

 

For now the basket is atop a high shelf in the en suite holding extra bath linens. When our daughter moves out again in August, we won't need as many linens. Perhaps by then I'll find the elusive affordable rectangular ottoman for the library. I would love to use this tray on top of the ottoman to corral books, puzzle misc., and pencils once I find just the right ottoman: not too big, not too small, , not fat, rather skinny and longish, not too hard, not too soft, just right for Mama Bear.
