Yeah, right...RWNJs I'd bet

Ages ago I was watching a black comedian's skit and he was discussing life in America as a black male. He recounted watching the nightly news and a horrible crime segment comes on. He said his immediate reactions was, "Please, please, please, don't let it be a black man!" The suspect's image appears on screen and his response is "Oh, shit!" It's a black guy.

I awakened this morning to news of the carnage out of NOLA this New Year's Day, 2025. A vehicle plowed into a crowd on Bourbon St in New Orleans. At least ten are dead and another twenty plus are injured. The suspect died in a shootout with cops. 

Immediately my mind formed an image of the suspect: a white male, gun nut, Republican, small penis truck or muscle car. This is the reality in America. Gun nut opens fire. Crazed killer massacres. Cars as weapons. Cars as expressions of one's flagging masculinity. Ammosexuals with more guns than common decency. Senseless violence. Mass killings. And who do we see doing this? Overwhelmingly it's White men with guns. White male conservatives.

But if you tune into conservative media the demonized are projected as brown and black skin people, immigrants and urban youth. That their viewers, often radicalized by conservative media, are the perpetrators of heinous crimes is dismissed, downplayed, ignored, or reshaped to fit the conservative narrative.

At this time no information has been given about this killer. But I have since seen pictures of a small penis truck at the center of photos confirming one of my assumptions. Hey! Maybe it's not a white dude after all... but if I were a betting person, I'd lay heavy money on it being yet another white male conservative. And maybe I'll win the lottery and become a billionaire. And then maybe I could buy a few politicians and change the pro gun narrative America writes daily.
