Random Thoughts

If companies which sent manufacturing overseas for the cheap labor return to the US they will have to pay American wages. If more companies return, more employees are needed but our population is finite so we employees can demand higher wages. So the reason they left the US, to increase their profits, will see these companies losing profits. 

Yet these companies maintain that profit, shareholder returns, CEO and Board compensation are sacrosanct and profit, their raison d'être. 

So WHY then would they want to return to American shores to a labor market in short supply and the ability to demand wages to meet the ever increasing costs of American life under Trump? 

Why would any business support these tariffs at all? It seems the former status quo was lining their pockets through slave labor wages abroad and giving Americans a better way of life for less money. Why upset the apple cart through Trump's tariff insanity?
