Trump, more of your tariffs are going into effect today and you are fucking clueless. You bankrupted multiple businesses and now you are financially destroying the US. From your gilded toilet you have no fucking clue about how ordinary people live. Maybe you don't care, but we do. We normal Americans have a finite amount of money as ordinary householders. If the prices keep going up and up, we do not keep spending because there is no more money. None. Period. End. Stop. No more, you dumb fucker. No rich daddy. No German, Chinese, and Russian banks to bail us out. No bankruptcy options and law firms on retainer.
So what does this mean?
Well, for one thing we stop buying overpriced items. It has been reported 1/3 of people have stopped buying eggs. Why? The price, dumbass. Maybe 5 to 10 bucks is nothing to you and your billionaire cabinet members, but to many Americans $7.25 is their hourly wage. When it costs an hour of your labor to buy a dozen eggs, you don't buy the eggs any more.
Now I know you said you would bring down the prices on Day One but I didn't believe you then and I sure as shit don't believe in you now that you've told us you don't care.
But while the eggs have been going up in price you have added more costs for the American consumer. Steel and aluminum tariffs mean higher prices for anything sold in cans, whether food or beer or soda. Imported food costs are going up. I hope your incels like soy because we'll have a surplus very soon thanks to retaliatory tariffs. Lumber costs are going up and with them housing costs. But that's ok because the immigrant labor for builders is disappearing. Where could they be?
Car prices aren't just going up for imported new cars. Those of us with used cars need parts which come from Mexico and Canada and China, also under tariffs. And when something breaks, chances are a replacement will come from China because your Republican billionaire buddies closed the factories and sent everything overseas to be made by non union third-world dirt-poor labor. In other words, you and your cronies created the problems you say you are solving through tariffs. Do you really want the factories back here? Because the labor force here can't get by on their current wages. So if you want labor for these newly returned factories, then get ready to offer some competitive wages. I hear that cheap immigrant labor is hesitant to come work in America any more.
Why is it that stockholders keep getting wealthier and consumers keep getting screwed? Why are CEOs entitled to golden parachutes when Americans are working well into their golden years to pay for the basic necessities? We know why. It's greed, plain and simple. You are greedy. You are wealthy. And you, Trump, are part of the larger problem, the ultra wealthy class. You wish to line your pockets further by decimating the American government, lowering taxes for the uber-rich who always find ways to pay a lower percentage of their wealth than the poor. And sometimes the wealthy manage to pay no taxes at all, something you have bragged about yourself, Trump. You raise tariffs but the price is passed on to the customer because you and your ilk have decided that shareholder profit and CEO and Board income is sacrosanct.
Our housing prices have gone up. Our energy bills are rising, again. Our insurance costs have gone up because the insurance companies know that climate change is real. Our egg prices are up. But your token-Kennedy sits with his thumb up his butt injecting the latest fad cure while chickens spread bird flu to humans and other mammals. All food prices are up. Car prices are up. Our taxes are going up because you are taking away federal funds for necessary programs which even the Republican governors realize they have to fund.
I won't ask if you're just waiting for RFK Jr's anti-health initiatives to kill some of us off? Or reversing EPA protections will kill more of us off? Or if cutting school lunches and food bank monies will kill more off? I won't ask because some of us survived Covid and others in our families died because you recommended bleach, UV light, and horse dewormers. You personally hosted large gatherings and shunned masking while dismissing common sense, public health admonitions, and scientific guidance in favor of discord and division. Why? To serve your ego which could not yield the cameras to actual experts. I know you don't care because you said it, once again. But more, your actions say it loud and clear. You are not only stupid, Trump, you just don't care.
