Alligator Alcatraz : Concentration Camps

A new state-run immigration detention center nicknamed  “Alligator Alcatraz” is set to open Tuesday in the Everglades.

Should it be called Alligator Alcatraz?

Or Perhaps

DeSantis' Dachau,

Trump's Treblinka,

Noem's Natzweiler-Struthof,

Homan's Hinzert,

Stephen Miller*'s Sobibor and Majdanek

*Stephen Miller is a man so evil he merits two camp references. Stephen Miller is so evil he is often compared to his doppelgänger, Joseph Goebbels, another propagandist for fascism and targeted discrimination. Stephen Miller is so evil, he is the epitome of "More German than the Germans" and would have gladly joined Group-13 and the Jupos. Stephen Miller is so evil that his mere existence is now queried in the same manner as Hitler's: "If you could go back in time and..." It's not hard to imagine this beta-male as a sniveling, crying, bald baby in this scenario.

With hurricane season regularly striking Florida I wonder what the shelter-in-place protocols will be for those detained at this internment camp. Scheduled to hold 5,000 detainees, this facility will not be evacuated if in the path of a storm. Perhaps Trump's Sharpie will redirect the force of the winds? I doubt that the quickly built camp will be erected with hurricane resistance standards in mind. Perhaps it will be rebuilt with migrant labor or state-sponsored forced labor by those already interned?

I suspect any deaths will go unreported and bodies disposed of on site in line with Florida's corrupt, murderous detention history. I fear that the bodies will be consumed by the neighboring alligators which I strongly suspect is part of the appeal to Trumpists. And like the children who disappeared into Florida's juvenile detention centers, will they be labeled as run-aways, subject to the fate of the camp's carefully chosen location?

Whatever happens it seems to be just another form of cruelty lapped up by Trump's yokels and lackeys. And like Germany's concentration camps, the neighbors all seem to be A-OK with this too.

Florida is home to numerous Alligator Attractions where people pay to watch the alligators fed. In a few locations, the customers pay extra to toss chum to the beasts. Already t-shirts featuring Alligator Alcatraz are sold online and Google has reviews of Alligator Alcatraz too. Yes, the locals really are A-OK with this, despite a few whose protests center on a Save-The-Everglades campaign. Really, Florida Man??? Maybe your real concern should be on alligators developing a taste for human flesh instead...
