I want to talk directly to Americans because I think there are a lot of Americans that think the reason relations between the United States and the rest of the world are falling apart so quickly is just because of Donald Trump and tariffs. And I don't think you understand how the rest of the world actually sees you. So, I'm not going to be saying these things to be mean. I'm saying them so that you'll stop thinking that you can just vote your way out of this situation.

So, here's what we actually see from outside the United States. In some states, a teenager can't check out certain library books without parental permission, but the second they turn 18 years old, they can buy an AR-15 faster than they can adopt a pet. 

In the richest country on earth, people are crowdfunding for insulin and cancer treatment. And without insurance, a medical bill can follow them for the rest of their life. Which means that getting sick can mean going bankrupt just to stay alive. 

You strip millions of convicted felons of the right to vote. It's not a true democracy when the regime decides who gets to participate.

You have no paid work vacation, no universal sick leave, and you have workers that are scared to take a day off because they might lose their job and their health insurance.

You lecture the world about free elections. Then you gerrymander districts, close polling stations, and pass voter suppression laws. Young people are told that education is the key to success, and then they graduate with debt so high that they will never escape from it. 

Politicians call themselves pro-life while at the same time they push for executions in states with an abundance of proven wrongful convictions.

In most countries, one mass shooting parks major reform. In the United States, it sparks thoughts and prayers and nothing ever changes.

You spend more money on your military than the next 10 countries combined, but then you claim you can't afford universal healthcare or even upgrade your infrastructure.

You sanction some countries for human rights abuses while selling weapons to other countries responsible for the exact same behavior.

Your major networks chase ratings instead of facts. They turn serious issues into a reality TV drama.

Donald Trump is building trade barriers with almost every country on the planet because he thinks we'd all climb a wall to be with and like America.

And that is just as ridiculous as everything else that was on this list.
