Random Thoughts

Do not be deceived into thinking that Maduro is an innocent. He is an evil politician who rose to power on a legacy of death and corruption. He holds a stranglehold over his people and has made money off his position while inflation runs rampant and citizens flee the country. Opposition leaders have been attacked and some are in exile or hiding. He is an evil man, no doubt.

But do not think the Trump is any less evil. He enriches himself, his family, his cronies, and the mega wealthy at the expense of everyone in America and abroad. This felon flouts the law and the US Constitution itself. He is a malevolent man inciting violence and hatred from the highest office in America and the largest pulpit in the world. He is leading the US on a path of white nationalism, racism and xenophobia causing death to those who have lost their homes, their livelihood, their health insurance. He supports unrestricted gun ownership. He lies as easily as most breathe. Daily he tightens his power over this country. He threatens the well being and sovereignty of independent nations. He is a criminal acting in plain view.

From their two countries these two men have fought like bullies on the playground or criminals in the prison yard. Now one has broken US and international law to kidnap the other one. And lest we forget, Trump just pardoned a South American leader convicted of drug charges, the same crime he accuses Maduro of committing. Why is ex-Honduran President Juan Orlando Hernández free from his 45-year sentence for drug trafficking as Maduro stands accused in a court room today?
