Am I AWFUL?
The MAGA right has chosen the phrase AWFUL, Affluent White Female Urban Liberal, to describe women who have been protesting ICE and generally standing up to Trump's agenda. Name calling is nothing new. Honestly, I'm just surprised they haven't managed to slip Bitch into an acronym. Maybe the Reich has. See how easy (and therapeutic) it is to resort to name calling. Maybe the press just isn't covering it, or are they replacing the word Bitch in some other iteration? Look at what they did turning Fuck Joe Biden into Let's Go, Brandon. They even put the comma in the correct place!
Consider the AWFUL acronym. It gets it wrong from the start with Affluent. Renee Good was driving a Honda mini van, SUV thingy of some sort. What affluent mom would own anything less that a Mercedes SUV or Volvo wagon, maybe even a Range Rover? I shouldn't be surprised that MAGAts (more name calling!) are oblivious to the economy. President Money Bags says the stock market is doing great, better than any economy in all of history, better than Joe Biden's economy... Ignore those grocery prices, the rising insurance rates, and exploding property taxes!
But why is the right targeting the affluent, those with a great deal of money? Aren't those their people? The ones getting all the tax cuts. The ones still going on family vacations. The ones with second homes, booking flights hither and yon. Those able to afford Disney World these days without buy now, pay later plans. Aren't the well off families propping up Jeff Bezos Whole Foods and joining the MAHA movement? True affluent women can still afford all the supplements, grass fed beef, yoga classes, and going to Mommy and Me outings as Stay At Home Moms.
A less confusing aspect of AWFUL is the attack on the WF, the White Females. WTF? I understand it slightly because there are more college educated white women than white men these days. And we all know how much white Republican men Hate women who are smarter than them in any way whatsoever. How dare women argue more rationally, with more fact based knowledge. And this whole working outside the home nonsense. A woman doesn't need a college degree to stay home, make babies, and bake cakes. She only needs enough book sense to read that bit in Bible about being subservient to her husband. That word says it all, ---serv-ent. Excuse the misspelling, but the man says that's the way we spell servant now and men are always right or is that Right? Unless you are a man who voted for Kamala because supposedly voting for a woman makes you a woman according to Fox's new Tucker Carlson.
It's probably the White part that confuses me most. Why include White when you keep telling us in domestic policy and not so subtle ways that White Is Right. The whole White Christian Nationalism mindset. Those pesky warnings about the browning of America. That's what the ICE crackdown is about, Right? Look who the regime has as its face at press conferences: make up heavy, long haired, cross wearing, White women.
As for Urban, we all know what that means. Meant? Little confused in the moment. Isn't "Urban" one of those words nice Republicans use for black people who live in the cities? Not that other word (Nuclear) they whisper at the club or belt out in the locker room during all that We're-Not-Gay guy talk. But usually the good Christian Republican ladies just say those people, the illegals, the help when discussing the minorities they fear are taking over WASP America.
As for decent Republican Christian white ladies, well they wouldn't be caught dead at a protest unless it was to get that children's book banned from the library for using the word "Fart". Or maybe to have Janie's children banned from the neighborhood pool. Her little one wasn't wearing the correct diaper swim trunks and caused that awful mess. See, conservatives, awful is apt for diaper poo, not for human beings. But the fact that Renee Good considered herself a Christian lady acting from her moral center doesn't seem to register with the poo-flinging apes on Fox News. I'm looking at you, Jessie Watters, you orangutan ass kisser. Who knew that someone really couldn't fill Tucker's penny loafers and needs to overcompensate for it every damned day?
As for using the word Liberal, you are spot on. We Liberals are the folks who read the US Constitution beyond the Second Amendment and really don't think violating our rights is moral or American. We also read that repeated word "people" and not citizens, because Constitutional rights extend to everyone. This means you should not have masked men crashing their cars into vehicles, breaking windows, dragging people on the ground, pepper spraying peaceful protestors or vans with six children in them.
Nor do we liberals think the regime should be disappearing people into a concentration camp system. And what else should you call these places where detainees are beaten, poorly fed, rarely bathed, made to sleep on the floors, denied adequate health care, and denied access to family and attorney representation? Many disappear, never heard from again. Some show up dead. Others are sent to countries unknown to them or sent abroad to prisons with no hearings, not even an appearance before a judge.
Who really is the awful one here? My vote is for Botox Barbie Noem and her masked Gestapo goons? More awful is an administration which sends troops into American cities based on whole cloth lies meant solely to scare their sheeple following the Fox propaganda network. This name calling thing is kind of fun, huh? Lightens the mood. It really does oversimplify a serious situation that is moving the US closer and closer to an outright civil war.
